In addition, the creatinine value is determined to determine the reliability of the urine sample.
Every person is sensitive to medication to varying degrees. Over- or underdosing is lurking, with all its consequences (side effects). Easly offers a DNA test that determines the DNA Medication Passport based on a saliva sample in our laboratory.
The advantages:
The microorganisms in our intestines have a major influence on our health and how vital we feel. With the microbiome test we determine which bacteria are present in what proportion based on a sample collected at home in our laboratory. The test can provide a solution for:
Do you want to know where your allergy complaints come from? Our Allergy Center tests for approximately 150 inhalant allergens. Based on a questionnaire and a subsequent video consultation with our doctor, it is determined which allergens should be included in the blood test.
In addition, the creatinine value is determined to determine the reliability of the urine sample.

More than 1 million people in the Netherlands live with diabetes (type 1 or type 2). Type 2 diabetes is the most common. This type results from an unhealthy lifestyle and is therefore also called a disease of affluence. Diabetes is a disease of the pancreas. This gland is located in the upper abdomen, behind the stomach. The pancreas produces substances needed for digestion, as well as a substance called insulin. Insulin is needed to transport sugar, derived from food, into our cells from the blood. In cells, sugar is used as fuel for a variety of cellular processes. In type 2 diabetes, insulin is still produced, but to a lesser extent and the body’s cells are less sensitive to insulin. As a result, sugar is not transported into the cell as well and thus higher and higher concentrations of sugar remain in the blood.
An Easly home diabetes test comes with an hba1c test (blood) and a test for measuring glucose (urine). This comprehensive diabetes test measures average blood sugar levels over the past two to three months with a finger prick. As an alternative to the HbA1c test, glucose in urine can be measured.
A normal HbA1c value falls between 20 and 42. If the HbA1c on a diabetes test is greater than 48, then diabetes is likely. Between 42 and 48 is pre-diabetes.
Normally, there is no glucose present in urine. If it does, it means that there is also excess glucose in the blood. In fact, the excess is excreted through the kidneys. So a urine sample is a good way to measure glucose.
Diabetes is a major problem worldwide and leads in the long run to many seriously ill people and high healthcare costs. This is because diabetes strongly contributes to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Do you notice diabetes symptoms? If so, be sure to test for this condition. With an Easly home test, you can easily test your sugar.
You will receive a positive result from the lab if your diabetes screening shows an HbA1c value higher than 48. The presence of glucose in the urine sample is also a clear indicator when testing for diabetes.
If you received a positive result after diabetes testing there are several options. There are several types of diabetes medications, but diabetes can also be remedied with lifestyle interventions. Consider adequate exercise, healthy eating and losing weight. Note that this type of intervention is only safe if the blood sugar level is acceptable. If this is not the case, then medications are needed in combination with a different lifestyle. When the interventions are sufficiently effective and blood sugar levels have normalized over a longer period of time, the medications can then be discontinued.
With a diabetes test from Easly, you can easily test for diabetes at home. After a finger swab and urine collection, send the samples to the lab. After a thorough analysis, you will quickly receive your results in your personal dashboard. Our doctors are happy to give you their Medical Interpretations & Advice, as needed.
Unexplained fatigue, dry mouth, frequent urination and frequent thirst are alarm signals.
With a diabetes self-test from Easly, you can make your own samples and send them to our lab. The lab analyzes the samples. You can access the results via the app or via a QR code.

The two values monitored in Easly diabetes testing are HbA1c and urine glucose. An HbA1c test measures average blood glucose levels over the past two to three months. When there is excess sugar in the blood, sugar binds to the substance hemoglobin (Hb) from the red blood cell. The HbA1c shows the degree of “saccharification” of the hemoglobin.
The glucose test checks for glucose in the urine. Basically, there should be no glucose present. If it does, it is “glucosuria,” which can indicate diabetes, or diabetes. In fact, excess glucose in the blood, is excreted through the kidneys.
